An exhibition of photographs by Joyce Baronio and transcripts by Ellen Bay “Women Speak Out” examines the perspectives of women landowners on the topic of natural gas extraction along the New York/Pennsylvania border. “Women Speak Out” focuses on 14 women in the Upper Delaware region, ranging in age from 30 to 90—those who have leased their land for gas drilling, those who haven’t, and those who remain undecided.

For his first solo exhibition, titled Lily Pad Paintings, Nicholas Buffon has created his largest works to date, one measuring over 12 feet in length. In many-hued blues and greens, the paintings are amalgams of a variety of abstract styles and techniques, suffused with detail, experiment and narrative.

Earth Day in Autumn features environmental and conservation exhibits as well as a demonstration with live birds of prey presented by the Delaware Valley Raptors Center. This year Earth Day will incorporate a Live Well Be Well focus. By taking care of our well-being, we are enhancing the well-being of the Earth. The Festival will interlace Yoga, Art and Healing to increase environmental awareness and build community. Yoga means "unity" -uniting mind, body, and breath to a connection with the elements of the earth. Join us to indulge in the varied physical, social and healing aspects of Yoga ranging from Gentle Yoga to Vinyasa, from Meditation to Family Yoga, and more. Classes throughout the day will be provided by teachers from Sullivan and Orange counties. A special class “Kai chi do” is all about the earth and the 5 elements. Groove to the meditative sounds of live music in the tent by Nikolai Ruskin playing traditional Middle Eastern music, World Fusion, and Indian.
