Entitled entitled “Summer (In) Sight”, exhibit will feature new work by artists Andrea Jenkins and Emily Brown. The centerpiece of the show is a 5' X 10' drawing in three panels. In it, Jenkins gathers seemingly disparate images through sketching and photocopying. The images are synthesized into complex compositions and rendered with watercolor, graphite, and ink on paper. Emily Brown will be showing life-size castings of rats and hawks.

INTERNATIONAL RALLY NEW YORK

The rally is even more compact than in the previous years with reconnaissance on Thursday afternoon and prize-giving on Saturday night. The HQ is at Villa Roma Resort and all racing will take place on the 12,500-acre Ten Mile River Scout Reservation. The Ceremonial Start is at Villa Roma in Callicoon, NY on Thursday evening. The rally ends with the Ceremonial Finish at Keowa Rally Village. Hundreds of participants, spectators and fans will gather for two days at the exciting Keowa Rally Village on the Ten Mile River Scout Reservation in Callicoon, NY with spectator parking, a Service Park with a Vendor Area next to it, and the Rally Control. During the two days of racing, a number of special stages will pass by the Keowa Village Spectator Area both in the morning and in the afternoon.

Earth Day in Autumn features environmental and conservation exhibits as well as a demonstration with live birds of prey presented by the Delaware Valley Raptors Center. This year Earth Day will incorporate a Live Well Be Well focus. By taking care of our well-being, we are enhancing the well-being of the Earth. The Festival will interlace Yoga, Art and Healing to increase environmental awareness and build community. Yoga means "unity" -uniting mind, body, and breath to a connection with the elements of the earth. Join us to indulge in the varied physical, social and healing aspects of Yoga ranging from Gentle Yoga to Vinyasa, from Meditation to Family Yoga, and more. Classes throughout the day will be provided by teachers from Sullivan and Orange counties. A special class “Kai chi do” is all about the earth and the 5 elements. Groove to the meditative sounds of live music in the tent by Nikolai Ruskin playing traditional Middle Eastern music, World Fusion, and Indian. Special Yoga opening; Music by: Janet Burgan; Basket Landing Demonstration by: Close Encounters with Live Birds of Prey with Delaware Valley Raptors Center at 1:00pm.
