Several exclusive and private gardens will be open for public viewing as part of the Bicentennial Garden Tour. A limited number of garden tour tickets will be available on a first come, first served basis. There are 12 major gardens to visit, along with several interesting stops along the way. Due to its size, Sullivan County has been divided into suggested northern and southern routes. Individuals may follow the routes or select their own — visiting as many or as few gardens as they prefer and time allows.

The Weekend of Chamber Music will present songs and instrumental music of composers Irving Berlin, Harry Woods and Lee Hoiby during the Downtown Arts Day. All three can be connected to Sullivan County: Berlin and Woods lived and/or worked in the county earlier in the 20th century and Hoiby has lived near Long Eddy for many years. Singer/songwriter Annie Hat of Hortonville will be featured. She researched and presented a unique entertainment based on Woods’ life and work some years ago and will be presenting some of that material. Arrangements will be made of several of Berlin’s most popular songs, and Lee Hoiby’s wind quintet “Diversions” will also be performed.
